Project Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Cost Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our active projects in Carolina and nearby regions. This
person will be the "bridge" between our field teams and our CPA Controller, ensuring every project is profitable and compliant.
Key Responsibilities

Job Costing: Code and enter all field receipts, material invoices, and labor hours to specific projects using [QuickBooks/ Contract Foreman].

AR/AP Management: Generate monthly progress billings based on the Schedule of Values (SOV) and process subcontractor payments upon receipt of signed Lien Waivers.

Field Documentation: Review field reports and "before/after" photos (recorded in CF) to verify milestone completion before invoicing.

Change Order Tracking: Monitor and log all project scope changes, ensuring no "extra work" is performed without a signed Change Order.

Permit & Insurance Tracking: Maintain the "Compliance Log" for all subcontractors, including COIs and NC/SC license verification.
Preferred Qualification

Experience: 3+ years in Construction Accounting (Essential).

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in construction-specific ERPs and AI-integrated document scanning.

Local Knowledge: Familiarity with NC/SC Sales & Use Tax for contractors is a major plus.
